The Uncharted Language Group of the Legacy.

Realized in a Discipleship meeting I had with an elder bi-lingual woman who while we went through each of the Discipleship Lessons, she would feverishly translate the content and discussion.  When asked what she was doing, she excitingly explained that she had a Spanish speaking Women’s group that she attends and teaches at herself, each week, that she wanted to share these life changing lessons too.  Blown away by her dedication, I shared with her my desire to have all three of these Discipleship books translated into Spanish, at which she quickly responded with the thought that her daughter has done translation work before and that she would ask her if she would be interested in serving the Lord in that way.

At our next meeting together, this elder lady and myself discussed the details of her daughter beginning the translation work on Book 1, “Fishers of Men”, and her excitement of using the material for her own small group/class.  It was following this conversation, now nearly three years ago, that “A Journey with Jesus” book series, Jesus’ own Discipleship training, that we began our adventure of Spanish translation.  

Strategically Divinely coordinated, the Lord has faithfully brought us a Translator for each of the Books to be translated, as one Translator faded into the business of life, the next Translator Divinely and strategically appeared on the scene, creating what we have now, like the four Gospels, three unique translations, by each of the three unique Translators, of our three Discipleship Books.  It is today with our last Translator, who has just finished the last book, “Building the Temple”, at the end of 2019, who has committed to Championing the editing, formatting, web development, and strategic distribution of this newly developed Spanish version of this Three Book Series, “A Journey with Jesus”, Jesus’ own Discipleship Training material, in fulfillment of his Great Commission to “Go into all the world (to all nations) . . . making disciples . . . by teaching them to observe everything that he (Jesus) has commanded us,” Matthew 28:18-20.  

In addition to this exciting new translation of “A Journey with Jesus” book series, I am in the beginning discussions with a 1,500 member Spanish speaking church in Colorado Springs regarding the use of the Spanish Discipleship Books, we just completed translating, with the potential prospect of them Championing the Making of Disciples within the Spanish speaking communities locally, nationally, and around the world, as the Lord has given us Vision.  With the nearly third largest spoken language of the world, of over 530 million Spanish speakers, it has been our discovery that for this language group, there is very few resources available to them for spiritual development, let alone Disciple Making, in fulfillment of Jesus’ Great Commission to include the Spanish speaking world.  The uncharted Legacy continues with your prayers, participation, and support, as you join us in this unprecedented fulfillment of Jesus’ Great Commission to “Make Disciples”.
