Update on Giving as of January 1, 2020, we have completed the Spanish Translation of the entire Three Book Series, of Jesus' Discipleship Training, "A Journey with Jesus".

We have an opportunity I would love for you to consider to help support, the Spanish Translation of our Discipleship Training Material, "A Journey with Jesus", Books 1 - 3, which again has been completed and is now in the process of being edited and printed in Spanish, but is needing the final push for distribution and use. Following is our Ask:

Spanish Editing/Print Set Up: $600 Digital Book(s): $200 (each book - $600 total) Printing of Book(s) in Spanish: $2,000 (each book - $6,000 total) It is through this discipleship program, "‘Follow Me’: A Journey With Jesus", that we unpack each one of Jesus' commands from within Jesus' own teaching lessons, to reunite you with the Master Teacher, God Himself, understanding that, “no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ,” 1 Corinthians 3:10.

Spanish Translation - portion of Lesson 1 (English Translation below) Lección 1 “Sígueme” Rompehielos de Grupo: ¿Qué imagen viene a tu mente cuando escuchas la palabra “sígueme”? Introducción: Convertirse en un discípulo de Jesús es esencialmente el mismo proceso que un niño pasa por aprender a seguir a sus padres. Las tres primeras palabras que un niño aprende generalmente son: mamá, papá y no. Las palabras mamá y papá identifican a las personas a quien el niño se ha unido. El uso de la palabra "no" por parte de los padres establece su autoridad y emite una orden al niño que requiere su obediencia. Es por el uso de esta palabra que comienza el entrenamiento del niño. La primera lección que debe aprender es la obediencia. Después de que una persona “nace de nuevo” las dos primeras palabras que aprenden son generalmente, Iglesia y Dios. Les asisten en la identificación de aquellos con quienes se han unido. La siguiente palabra que debe ser enseñada es “sígueme”. Jesús emite este mandato a sus discípulos al inicio del entrenamiento. English Translation - portion of Lesson 1 (Spanish Translation above) Lesson 1 “Follow Me” Group Icebreaker: What picture comes to mind when you hear the words “Follow Me?” Introduction: Becoming a disciple of Jesus is essential the same process that a child goes through in learning to follow his parents. The first three words that a child usually learns are: mommy, daddy and no. The words mommy and daddy identify the people to whom the child has bonded. The use of the word “no” by the parents establishes their authority and issues a command to the child that requires his obedience. It is by the use of this word that a child’s training commences. The first lesson he must learn is obedience. After a person is “born again” the first two words he learns are usually, Church and God. They assist him in identifying those with whom he has bonded. The next words he should be taught are “Follow Me”. Jesus issues this command to His disciples at the start of their training. Those words establish His authority and issue a command that requires their obedience. And like a child it is also provides the first opportunity for a disciple to use the word “no”! Reading The Scripture: The First Disciples (John 1:35-51) I Will Make You Fishers Of Men (Luke 5:1-11, Matthew 4:18-22, and Mark 1:16-20) A Tax Collector, Matthew Becomes a Disciple (Matthew 9:9, Mark 2:14 and Luke 5:27-28) The Command: “Follow Me.” The Lesson: The lesson of obedience is a difficult one to learn. It requires that a person recognize authority over him and then submit his will to that authority. This isn’t always easy, especially when the authority is telling you to do something you don’t want to do. Jesus wants your obedience. Without it, you cannot be His disciple. When Jesus called the original disciples to follow Him, they could see, touch, taste, smell and hear the Messiah. He was physically present among them and they followed His physical presence everywhere. But that wasn’t the lesson He was teaching them. Jesus taught His disciples to follow by issuing voice commands that they were expected to obey. He also led them by example, demonstrating His obedience to His Father’s commands that were written in the Old Testament portion of the Bible. He practiced what He preached . . . |
