The Heart Beat of Discipleship.

Discipleship Opens Doors. 

While working at Joseph A. Bank Clothier, I met a Missionary to India and the Middle East, who I got to know over the course of five years.  Following one of our many spiritual conversations at the store, he had offered to have coffee with me to discuss in more detail possible mutual ministry opportunities together when he had arrived back home from his up and coming trip to India.  
 
Eighteen months later, I was at a local Prayer meeting were I was crying out for the Lord to open up ministry opportunities on a global level, at which time I was approached by one of the ministry’s pastor’s who prayed over me that in the next 30 days the Lord was going to open up doors on a global bases, which prior to him praying for me he did not know what I was asking the Lord for.
 
That next day at Joseph A. Bank Clothier, the same Missionary came back into the shop, at which time I asked him about that coffee meeting he had suggested.  The man asked me if I had time the next day for a coffee, which I agreed to meet him.
 
As our meeting time came to fruition, the two of us discussed on the topic of "Disciple Making", which I was actively involved in through Key 2 Changes, the ministry my step-father and I had started, utilizing the recently completed Discipleship Material, “A Journey with Jesus”, Jesus’ own Discipleship training he Commissioned all of us to utilize in his Great Commission, “Go therefore into all the world . . . make disciples . . . by teaching them to observe everything I (Jesus) had commanded,” Matthew 28:18-20.  At the conclusion of that meeting the Missionary asked me if I would prayerfully consider going with him to India to assist him in teaching on the topic of “Discipleship” as that was one of his weaker topics. When asked when and how much, he told me that he was leaving in seven days at the cost of $4,800.  I told him it would have to be an act of God for that to be possible, and that if God wanted me to go, I would be on that plane next week.
 
The meeting was on a Wednesday, by that Friday I had $4,800 that was gifted to me, at which time I had also applied for an expedited Visa to India, which that following Monday, I also had in my hand.  I then called the Missionary and told him that I would be joining him for his Conference in Central India.  
 
It was on the plane to India that the Lord gave me the One Week worth of Training that I would teach on at the Conference, which was going to be at a Local Bible College, following their Graduation, where there was going to be 80 pastors/ministers present at the One Week long training Conference.
 
Following a solid week of Training on the topic of “Making Disciples”, I was approached by one of the 80 pastors/ministers, who with tears in his eyes, explained that I was the answer of over four years of prayers, asking God, “How to Make Disciples”.  With tears in my eyes, I told him that he was the answer to my prayers too, at which time I asked him if he would be open to me Discipling him over the next 18 months, which he agreed too.
 
Over then next 18 months, following my return home from India, this Indian Pastor and I went through each one of the 58 Lessons of Jesus’ Discipleship lessons with his own 12 Disciples.  With many questions, debates, prayers, and much study, I had completed training with the Pastor, and then challenged him to begin “Making Disciples”, of which he began doing, starting with a handful of Disciples he had already been working with.

Four years later, my step-father, the one who designed the Discipleship Training, "A Journey with Jesus", and the one who Discipled me, and I headed to our first Indian Disciple's home state in India to join his discipleship efforts in India, along with his now 50 Disciples he was now discipling, with the task of personally training them, and challenging them to begin “Making Disciples” as Jesus had Commissioned them, in villages throughout one of the most oppressed states in North-Eastern India for Christians, with the country’s newly elected supreme leader, who themself was and still is an acting extreme-Hindi, opposing any form of proselytizing of any other faith than Hindi, with one of his political goals and agendas to eradicate Christianity out of India by 2021, following a swift removal of all non-naturalized Christian organizations out of the country of India back in 2018, and a government supported militia led movement that are forcefully shutting down as many naturalized Christian organizations and ministries throughout the country of India.
 
Today, as of 2020, it has been reported that this one India Pastor now has over 1,000 Disciples that directly and indirectly he is discipling through 38 church plants, 50 personal Disciples, and a state outreach where he is regularly asked to speak and train on the topic of “Making Disciples”.  He has become our India “Disciple Maker” Representative to reach all of India.  

It is with stories like this that the Legacy continues to open doors with your prayers, participation, and support, as you join us in this unprecedented fulfillment of Jesus’ Great Commission to “Make Disciples”.   Following is the Vision God gave me in December of 2016 for the U.S. and India:

Vision of Disciple Making in the United States & India 

The Lord gave me a Vision of a blank map of the United States, which had no State boarders, and then I saw the Hand of the Lord mark out the State of Colorado, out of all of the other States, with His Finger, and when He completed the borders of Colorado, I saw two individuals, larger than life, walking from the South-West corner of the State, up to the North-Eastern corner of the State, in 5-to-8 Steps, which once they got to the other side of the State, the entire State of Colorado lit up and became the light to the entire United States, branching out tent pegs out to cities all over the United States that lit up each place it was established.  The Lord then showed me this same Vision in the Country of India, where the Epicenter started in the State of Orisha.
 
The Interpretation came that Colorado was going to be the Epicenter of Discipleship to the United States, and that these two individuals were actually two groups that had partnered up together to cover the state of Colorado with the message and training of Discipleship, taking them 5-to-8 month/years, which was about the number of steps it took both individuals to reach the other side of the State, and once trained and equipped, these tent pegs (individuals) would begin to send out Disciple Makers throughout our Nation to begin to Wake up the Sleeping Church of the United States, and empower them to become relevant again, Refreshing and Healing, and no longer Spiritually Sick, “Lukewarm”, effective again at our Single Great Commission, Making Disciples, not Converts, not Church Planters, not Church Growth experts, but the Light of the World again, as we were called and modeled by Jesus to be.  That same vision was shown to me in the Country of India, starting in Orissa, India too.
